Education and Awareness Committee
The Education and Awareness Committee of the Suicide Prevention Community Council of Hamilton is a volunteer committee that works throughout the year on a variety of events that bring focus to the issue of suicide and suicide prevention in the Hamilton community. The committee meets monthly and new volunteers are welcome.
Strategic Plan Awareness Committee
In 2010 the Hamilton Suicide Prevention Strategy was launched. The SPCCH Roundtable is group of dedicated individuals and service providers that work towards the implementation of various aspects of the strategy. The Roundtable developed an implementation plan in the Fall of 2012 and held several workshops to help advance components of the plan. The SPCCH now has assumed the lead role for continued implementation of the Hamilton Suicide Prevention Strategy.
Conference Committee
The SPCCH hosts an annual conference that brings together the community to focus on the issues of suicide prevention, intervention and postvention. Members of the conference committee work on every aspect of the event and new talent and enthusiasm is always welcomed.
Fundraising Committee
This new committee of the Board is just establishing its membership. Committee activities will focus on developing an annual event as well as encouraging and supporting third party fundraising.
