SUMMARY:Heartache2Hope Suicide Loss Support Program
DESCRIPTION:A 12-Week Closed-Group Suicide Loss Grief Support Program for Adults in Hamilton\nLosing someone important to us is always difficult. But losing someone to suicide is a loss like no other. It can be traumatizing\,isolating\, and leave you at higher risk for mental health issues. \nWe believe that although each person’s grief is unique\, there are commonalities. We believe that a person’s journey through grief is made easier when shared with others on a similar journey. Our support groups are facilitated by professionals who foster a caring\, understanding\, non-judgmental place where experiences and feelings can be shared freely. We seek to relieve isolation\, to assist with healing and to extend hope for a positive future. \nOur 12 weekly sessions provide education about the grief process and opportunity for sharing around different themes\, including: \n\nUnderstanding the uniqueness of suicide loss grief\nSharing the experience of Suicide Loss Grief\nWorking Through Grief; Understanding the Needs of Mourning\nAttending to practical matters\nUncovering strength and nurturing resilience\nDeveloping Coping Skills\nSharing Memories – Continued Bonds with your loved one.\n\nTo refer someone or find out more about our Support Program\, contact us at: \n905-599-4673\ninfo@heartache2hope.com\nwww.Heartache2Hope.com \nThe Suicide Prevention Community Council of Hamilton in partnership with Heartache2Hope is hosting this suicide loss support group in Hamilton. \nREGISTRATION IS REQUIRED\nAn in-person meeting with Heartache2Hope is required for registration to ensure readiness for a group. \nGroup Start Dates are dependent upon sufficient registration.
