Fundraising

The SPCCH is a charitable non-profit volunteer organization, funded by private donations from individuals and organizations. All donations are directed towards educational materials, training or community opportunities to help us work towards our vision of creating a suicide safer community by reducing suicidal behavior and its impact on individuals, families and communities. We are very grateful to the caring and generous donors who support our vision and goals.

Thank you for your interest in helping us to create a suicide safer Hamilton. Every dollar counts and your donation could save someone you love; someone that you may not even know is in trouble until it is too late.

  • $1350.00 or 30 donations of $45.00 will allow us to provide a session of safeTALK training. safeTALK prepares community members from all backgrounds to become suicide alert by using four basic TALK steps to helping. Participants learn how to recognize and engage a person who might be having thoughts of suicide, to confirm if thoughts of suicide are present and to move quickly to connect them with helpers who know how to complete the helping process.
  • $200.00 or 4 donations of $50.00 will allow us to offer a caregiver a space in ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) a two day, interactive workshop that prepares caregivers to provide suicide first aid interventions.
  • $3000.00 or 30 donations of $100.00 will help us print awareness materials that will be made available throughout the community
